Ray Dalio’s Principles

I approached this book simply for the sake of learning how to invest. I come from a family that is rich in professional experience in the financial sector. None of the principles that one might derive from such experience were passed down to me and I was likewise the black-sheep of the family who took more of an interest in philosophy and science career-wise.

In turn, I came across Ray Dalio’s Principles in the hopes of learning how to invest. Just graduating from college and making some actual money for the first time in my life, I understood that saving simply was not enough. This was especially in light of the fact that in a year from now, I will be in graduate school for the rest of my 20s and will not have a real salary for that time. The rational thing to do in such a situation is to have an investment profile growing for security purposes during such a period of time.
